Getting Through Tisha B'Av

This was a difficult Tisha B'av for me. Not because the fasting was hard (I didn't have any hunger pangs, headaches or weakness), but because of what's happening in Israel and the world. The only really positive aspect of "these times" is that I'm sensing a new united front amongst our people. One that crosses over into all denominations and locations. People want to connect with each other in very Jewish ways. They are reaching out to everyone and providing us with many opportunities for us all to do more Mitzvot and Tefilot. Enough can not be said with how wonderful that is.
The very disturbing part I feel, is that we are all reliving 1939. Antisemitism is growing by leaps and bounds. Not only in Europe, but in the USA as well. It's making such an impact that the talking heads on cable news are covering one story after another on a daily basis.
